Centre for Global Education seeks intern to work on Policy and Practice
The Centre for Global Education invites applications for an internship starting in August that will involve supporting publication of our journal, Policy and Practice: A Development Education Review. Now in its seventh year of publication, Policy and Practice is published bi-annually with a view to widening understanding of the delivery and effectiveness of development education at local and international levels. It aims to share good practice and analyse the policy environment in which development education practitioners operate. Policy and Practice is the only development education journal published in Ireland and is funded by Irish Aid, the government body responsible for overseas aid and development education. Policy and Practice is published online at www.developmenteducationreview.com. The internship will involve assisting the editor in the following tasks: • Processing articles from the commissioning to publication stages; The internship will be based in the Centre for Global Education and is an ideal opportunity for students or graduates to gain valuable work experience on a highly valued publication in a development organisation. The intern will be expected to work a minimum 20 hours per week from 1 August 2011 to 31 March 2012 though shorter placements will be considered. Limited remuneration is available.
